Welcome to my webpage

I am a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Cyprus, working in the area of Bayesian inverse problems.

In particular, I am interested in both the theoretical foundations of Bayesian inverse problems in infinite dimensional spaces (well posedness of the posterior, asymptotic performance of the posterior, etc.), as well as the developement and study of algorithms for extracting information from the posterior (Gibbs samplimg for hierarchical inverse problems, unbiased estimation, importance sampling in function space and/or small noise limit etc.).

You can find a 15-minute presentation of my research here, my CV here, and my departmental website here.

In my free time I enjoy cycling long distances on my road bike. In the photo on the right, I am halfway through the inaugural Rapha Manchester to London challenge done in support of Ambitious about Autism in 2014. This was one of the toughest rides I have ever done, I covered 220 miles (~360km) of hilly and undulating roads in less than 16 hours. You can find my training blog for the event here.
